red stems & leaf edges

    so ive got a plant thats just starting to develop its first set of true leaves but the stem and the edges of the leaves are red. i just wanted to know; is this bad? what does it mean? and what can i do?

    Some strains are purple and red. Wait a while and see how it goes.

    red means a deficiency in some mineral, especially at this stage in growth. although with it being so amall of a plant with barely any roots, its much to early to fertilize. i find it important to use fresh dirt for my seedlings to avoid this, sometimes i reuse old dirt when the get bigger.

    somebody ganked my mom's digital camera so i cant post a photo. will my plant survive? when will it be safe to fertilize?
