    Stephen Colbert of the Colbert Report was doing his "better know a district" thing and when he was finished he stated "and in tribute of Syd Barrett.. ..Shine on You Crazy District"

    i thought it was pretty cool, considering it's a comedic news program mostly fixated on politics

    Shine on you crazy diamond was written for syd after he left pink floyd. Actraly the whole album "wish you were here" was for him.
