Tull fan here since the late sixties. I like just about all of the songs from "Stand Up", "Benefit" and "Aqualung" albums. Songs from other albums that I like are "A Song for Jeffrey", "Lap of Luxury", "Minstrel in the Gallery", "Steel Monkey", "Kissing Willie", to name a few, and "Thick as a Brick" which is an album in itself. If you really want to see more I have a website -www.geocities.com/tenn_jed_1999/standup_home.html

Jethro Tull are great man! :D I wish I had more of their albums, only got a couple, but I love the songs Aqualung, Heavy Horses, Acres Wild and quite a few others. Ian Anderson's flute playing is amazing!

I'm a Tull fan :H Being a wind player I can really appriciate his flute playing... It really is incredible, and such a pioneer... to bring such an instrument into the world of rock!
I'm seeing him with Tull in concert in November, he was doing 10 stops on a US tour, and I'm lucky enough to be near one of em. Can't wait!!!! :D:D

And does anyone know how GREAT Thick as a Brick sounds on Vinyl? ROCK ON! It's the greatest thing since sliced bread.

Jethro Tull's awesome. I'm always impressed when an unorthodox instrument is thrown into the rock music mix. I have Aqualung and Thick as a Brick.

I'd say: Mother Goose, Thick as a Brick, Song for Jeffrey, Love Story, Cross-eyed Mary. And lots more, for sure.

    Love,
    Louise.

Here's a few lines I wrote about Ian Anderson some years ago......

    Jethro.

    I’m a singin’ laird

And I live in a castle

    But keeping it warm

    Is nae any hassle

    Cause I made a lot o’ money

But it does nae do nae harmin’

I made it out o’ music

But I put it into farmin’.
    I’m a singin’ laird

And I live in a castle

    I smoke a lot o’ salmon

But I dinna smoke nae mackerel

    I made a pile o’ money

But it does nae do nae harmin’

I made it with my band

But I put it into farmin’

Seriously though, I like most of their stuff, and I really like Ian's solo album 'Walk Into Light'

I took mushrooms in the city centre where i live. There was a great atmosphere that night. The chilis and the Pixies played nearby in the local park so everywhere was packed and people were drinking all day. After the wild night we got taxi home. The driver was playing this cool music."Turn that up!!Thats cool" i said."Do you know the band?" "no but but it sounds deadly" Anyway it was Tull.So i went and bought Stand Up and it's just amazing rollercoaster musical ride.I like Fat Man, Bouree....The're great.Sorry,I have to tell that story every time tull are mentioned. In the future it will be one of those albums that'll remind me of this summer.:)
