I remember once when I was in year seven or eight. I was having a hard time with this person who kept ignoring me everytime I went by or said hello, this really bothered me because I had done nothing to deserve it. Anyway..this went on for a little while until one day I had a dream that i was in a market, it was really nice, had incence, scented candles, native american bags, (I also has an unlimited sackfull of coins too so that was cool). I was just about to leave when I saw this Fox sitting outside the flaps of the tent that the market was being held in. It was strange because all of the other people were oblivios to the fact that He was out there. I put down a bag that I was going to buy and I slowly made my way out there. The Fox looked at me for a moment before saying hello, this of coarse was no supprise to me that He could talk because animals were always talking to me in just about all of my dreams. I said hello back thinking it would be impolite Fox or not Fox not to say hello back. He told me that I had to stand up for myself, that He knew it was hard for me to do but sooner or later I had to do it. I began to protest, telling Him about all of the other times that I had tried to stand up for myself..why I didnt want to have to do it again, He told me that If I didnt then that girl that was ignoring me would keep being cruel because she knew she could do it. Fineally I agreed. He then said something else that I cant quite remember, and walked away. I told my parents about my dream and about the fox, my father then told me that he had two fox skulls in the garrage that he had found 15 odd years earlier, so I asked him if I could have one. My mother wanted to find out whether there was anyone on her side of the family with the nickname Fox, so we called my grandmother, told her about my dream and asked her if she knew anyone with the nickname fox. She told us that yes she did, that her father used to call her Fox. Im not sure whether it was my great grandfather who was the fox in my dream, he sounded quite young, I believe it was my Uncle who died decades before I was even born. Either way I still keep that Fox Skull in my room and only I can touch it (or wants to touch it). I believe it is one of my guardian spirits. What do you think?, wanttofeelaccepted
sounds to me like it was fox spirit who was the fox in your dream. i think you already know that too. you know its fox who has the job of healing coyote when he gets himself in too much trouble. your fox in your dream sounds just like fox in the old time people used to tell about. =^^= .../\...
I have a shamanic experience book, and fox is listed as a power animal. Let me recite the explanation to you. Fox is associate with cunning, primarily because of its abilty to observe the movements of others without being seen. As a power animal, Fox stresses the power of adaptability and integration coupled with the qualities of quick-thinking and decisiveness when the time is ripe. Power animals always express the positive aspects of the characteristics they share with their physical counterparts, and Fox is no exception. Fox as a power animal teaches not the cunning of deceitfulness, but the kenning of discretion; not the wilyness of being shy, but hte willingness of being unobtrusive. It also stresses the importance of waiting patiently for the appropriate opportunity to make your move. It is possible that your principal problems derive from your desire to prove yourself, and to make your presence felt. If you are feeling threatened, or the victim of controversy and criticism, or envy and jealousy, you are in need of fox's help in becoming less noticeable and in achieving your aims unheeded and unimpeded by others. key indicator: Ability to be discreet.
thanking you, pag. Hold on to that book, its a good'un by the sounds of it. your words are much appreciated.
it is a good book, my personal power animal is bear which i feel i was one in a past life, its key indicator is the ability to find strength from within. ps. paQ =]
just curious why you guys are into this sort of stuff.like when and how u got into it.or if reakky know what it is u r getting into .like if u take what you like from it ,but completely ignore things like warnings about behaviour and disrespecting
i think i see where iron badger is comming from. we do tend to expect too much from books. i don't quite think anyone is being disrespectful or at least i hope not. i can certainly see where the potential is, but i don't think, see, where anyone in this thread has been yet so far. but then what would i know? i'm just a crazy white guy who reads too much too. =^^= .../\...
i feel that it is the universe giving me omens. I do not swear by the book but when i come across something pick it up read what it has to say usually i feel it already and when reading the omen from the universe i am agreeing with something i felt before i read it.....
in looking at my thread here i dont remember what it was that i was trying to say.i mite of been up too long,or just waking up,or just bored.i dunno.i guess i was the one being disrespectful.i'm native americab abd this sorta seemed like something a perso would take from native beliefs.yeah,i think thats what i was trying to say.but in retrospect, its none of my business what others do,if its wrong, itll always come back again.or is it just me ,or the weed that we smoke in darkened alleys of our minds lashing out towards the future, shaking off yesterday ,today, and nex week.okay?got that?
