GD vs. phish!! (This IS a random thought)

Straight Up!!!! I don't care how many fuckin posts about it!! I'm floating right now. I'd say GD, though they both have their pos and cons.

Phish Pros- Trey, Mike Fish(man), rock a live show, "Hampton comes alive", "The New Years Eve Concerts, Trey IS STILL ALIVE, the album RIft

Cons-Page McConnel, music gets repetitive

GD Pros- Jerry rocked, Blues For Allah, Phil Lesh, "Terrapin Station", "Touches of Grey" (fuckin awsome)

GD COns- Jerry died, thats it

 

Phish would be 1000x better if trey didn't sing. their lyrics suck.

 

word. Trey isn't a good vocalist. BUT, he doesn't write phish's lyrics; Tom Marshall does.

you know, i thought the culture was cool and still do and is, but i didn't think their music, either of them, was all that outstandingly good or bad. just sounded like people messing arround with voices and instruments. cool, but i used to do that when i had my horn too. except i didn't do it in front of an audience that was paying me to.

i think what they did was fun and cool, but moody blues, tangarene dream, j.donald walters, ian boddy, ian anderson, and marry youngblood are more my kind of music.
even julia eclar.

jam bands are cool though. and jam band music festivals cool especialy.

there's a bunch of them that happen up in my surial nervana mountains these days, the one at quincy california, and at belden, a bunch in grass valley and up on the san juan ridge.
