The Omen 2006

What do you guys think about this remake?

 

i haven't seen the first one yet, but its been on my list for a while. i think the previews look really good though. i'm sure the people who saw the original will think its no good, and the folks who see this one first will probably like it better. i think the plot sounds like it's amazing, though.

 

I heard that some theatres put the trailer for this before a showing of United 93. Some people got upset so they pulled the trailer. Geniuses.

 

i was not aware of this movie. When is the release date? The original was ok, great storyline. New one should be good.

 

Now that shit looks like a damn good film.

Hopefully the movie will do the trailer justice.

 

its gonna suck, though i will be seeing it because to see a different variation on the birthday scene is worth the money.

For real.

 

I saw Julia Stiles on the Tonight Show and she said that a group had burned down their set in either Prague or the Czech Republic... cause of the content of the movie, I guess.

 

Pretty close remake to original screenplay.
Overall better movie.
And far more 'pertinant'.
Why.
Damien is born exactly 2000 years after christ.

Then again its just a tale from religious mythos.
but makes a good story, even if the premis is crap.

I thought this movie was horrible and got teary-eyed that I wasted my time with it..
