Haha, I had a shitty childhood, but there is one thing that makes me happy to reminisce, and that is the music. I remember listening to Alanis Morissette, Matchbox 20, Savage Garden, Blur, The Barenaked Ladies, and of course, teeny bopper classics like The Spice Girls, Aqua, Hanson, All Saints, Take That/Robbie Williams, etc. Ya, I know, it's corny, but I'm sorry, I wasn't into Led Zeppelin when I was 10. Sometimes when I hear one of their songs on the radio I will find myself singing along, just to freak out those around me.
when I was 10, it would have been 1992......lets see, what did I listen to back then? pretty much the same stuff I listen to now.
spice girls was my life when I was eight. I got into blink 182 and such. Then I got into punk. Then I got into good music. Well, the ramones are awsome.
When I was a kid I liked hair bands and stuff my mom listened to...like Alice Cooper. I also liked Pearl Jam... But it depends on what age you define as being a "child".
Starting when I was probably about... oh, eight or so, I've been obsessed with the Beatles. So that was most of my later childhood, the stuff I remember the best. Beatlemania was the most exciting part of summer back then. Other than that, the usualy mid-90s stuff... Spice Girls, Hanson, Natalie Imbruglia (I loooved her!), Madonna... I was obsessed with Kiss for a week, and Weird Al. I was such a Weird Al fanatic! I watched a lot of VH-1, too.
When I was a kid I used to love Savage Garden, Michael Learns To Rock, Bon Jovi, Bryan Adams, etc. ...
when i was very young, "shock the monkey" by peter gabriel, "siberian khatru" by YES, and "illegal alien" by genesis were songs i'd have on repeat.
Van Morrison, Bill Withers and Simon and Garfunkel. LOL! I never listen to that anymore (minus Van Morrison)
Well I lived in brooklyn untill I was 7 so I hurd alot of rap music, then I did of course listen to the tinny booper shit. Then around 14 I started to listen to alot of metal. Now i listen to korn, static x,system of a down, nirvana, greatful dead,Bob marley, the doors and anything but country.
The Beatles, Pink Floyd, Blur, Supergrass, Santana, Iron Maiden, Metallica, and a lot of Russian rock. I think that I have always had a rather good musical taste.
