Me too! I've developed this obsession with body modification. I love tattoos. I don't have a favorite band, so I don't think I could get a band tattoo.

i just got mine today =D, not a "band" tattoo, but i do have the words "let the music be your master" from the Zeppelin song 'Houses of the holy' =)

I was thinking about getting an actual "band" tattoo, i would have gotten Pink Floyd because they saved my life, and i'm not exaggerating...anyhow

    peace,

    angela~

I've thought about getting the "S" from Slipknot because it was the first metal concert I ever went to.

I don’t think I would ever get a band tattoo coz my music taste changes to much like I would most likely always like the band but I might not be so passionate about them in a couple of years and then I will be stuck with them. I do like the “let the music be your master” idea though coz if for some crazy un-known reason you ever decided you don’t like Led Zeppelin at least that still says something on its own.

Some guy at my school got the Aerosmith logo tatooed on his shoulder. Strangly, I picture of it turned up in our yearbook. Maybe I'll scan it.

I would never get a band tattoo. I would end up regretting it at some point no matter how much of a great idea it was at the time. I would either in a few years end up not liking the band anymore or something like that.

My friend's boyfriend is hoping to get The Highwaymen across his back -- Waylen Jennings, Johnny Cash, Willy Nelson and another guy, I think that's the four of them. He's tried to get it done yesterday, but he's Alberta and doesn't have the time it would take to get it done.

i remember seeing a guy at a SOAD concert with a huge tattoo of Metallica on his back. I love tattoos, but honestly, what if the band breaks up?

I think it would depend on what the band and its music means to the person at that time in their life.
I see many, many Dead related tats (from stealies to copies of Jerry's art work) on people who had their lives transformed by the association with the band and crowd.
That's big, and on par with religio-spiritual iconography.
But some top 40 act? I'd be VERY wary of that, especially if the person is an "eraser" who really leaves one phase completely behind and tries to erase all traces of that time.

i think using an apostrophe for pluralizing a word is wacky.

Yes, it is. Is it you? If so, let me tell you man (wo-man), you have really beautiful hair.:sunglasse

And if I got a band tat, it would either be the Pink Floyd logo with the hammers, or the Zeppelin symbols, or Jimi Hendrix's Signature.

I don't like the idea of band tattoos. Still, I would love to get a tat based on some of the artwork found on tool albums. It's not that I love tool and want to get tatooed. It's because the artwork is just so good.

So what? They still produced some great music - that's eternal. Sig other is a HUGE fan, so only natural that he would want something to acknowledge that. He's got the ninja star thingy on his arm with some spider webs and a spider hanging from it. He's got a thing about spiders, Metallica is getting older, it all works! [IMG]

I got me a lightning bolt inked on my hand ~*~ mostly 'cause the Dead ~*~ also though, just the idea of lightning and the way it seems to have strucken into my 22 years around these parts ~*~ that's what made me choose the bolt, but like I say The Grateful Dead is the reason

I need to get it touched up though next time I go in ~*~ most all the points of the bolt didn't stick into my skin so it's kynda like a blurry bolt right now ~*~ plenty of peoples have told me it looks like somebody scribbled on me with marker or something :&

and most very likely & probably I maybe am gonna get John Frusciante on my arm soon as Im good to get another one ... Dani California ... yeeah! ... let's jump on the bandwagon ya'll ... :H ... fuck that ... it's true love though, honestly ~*~ straight up chemistry ~*~ even JerryG just ain't quite the same to me
