"Libertine" was chosen because of my ultra-liberal nature and wild persona. It truly is an exaggerated extension of my personality.

Although, the other names I considered were :

SKY DADDY
MR. HEAD
SIMOTHY LEARY (like a simulated Tim Leary)
JOHN BOY ASSKICKER
& FONZIE

Somehow I think the one I chose was the best.

Libertine: I think yer screen name is very f-in cool. I dig the anarchy symbol under yer username as well. RIght on. The take off on Leary's name would have been cool too.

Actually "Sky Daddy" is my real nickname. I got it because I was high (well, actually BAKED) one night and was on some philosophical discourse about religion and stated that I didn't know if there was a god, but I knew there wasn't a "sky daddy" version.

It stuck.

So, now all my friends call be "Sky Daddy" or "Skyzer" and then "Skyzix" (one friend calls me "Skeezix"... The evolution of or de-evolution of a nickname, eh?

But, all my friends here just call me "Lib".

 

Isnt there a movie called the Libertine with johnny depp in it? Or I could be making things up.

 

I chose mine because...well...Butters is my hero

i did not chose libertine as a name because . . uh well, i hadnt thought of it. hmph. now i do still regret it. maybe a support group would be of some help, maybe even a 12-step program . . .
