    ok here is the story.

a few months ago i had to have a medical examination for work and because there was something a bit odd to do with something else he tested for STDs just incase, and found i had none. Because of this and my girlfreind was on birth control i stopped using condoms, and now she has the clap. Which is strange coz she hadnt slept with anyone else before me, and i had been tested another time before and come up clear as well, as did my ex girlfreind at the time. I always wore condoms after that. obviously i need to get treated for it but i dont get how it could have happened that it went undected by tests for it, twice. If that happens then what is the point of getting tested? I never had any symptoms at all.

Are you sure that he tested for Chlamydia? In women, it requires a different exam that the usual pap test. Might in men too... i would check the paperwork/charts to be sure.

Do some research on the probibility of a false negative. Do you know what type of test they did? There are different ways of testing for Chlamydia... one is more effective than the other, but it also costs more... or so I believe.

I tried to do some looking about for you on the whole false negative thing, but there isn't a lot of research that I found that relates to infected men.... sorry. Maybe you would have better luck?
