I have found that if I drink a good amount of water before, during, and after I smoke pot, I have a much better high. My throat or mouth never bother me; I'm much more comfortable overall....and my heart doesn't race. I understand the water helping my throat and preventing cottonmouth, but I don't understand why water would prevent my heartrate from increasing. Is it all in my head or is there any evidence to back up the link between water consumption and heart rate?
you would need to compare different amounts of water, along with different amounts of weed, and different strains of weed, and record your heart rates at different times. all olther variables need to be constant, and act as a control. theres a little experiement for you then.
Being well hydrated is a good thing. When your pulse increases and your blood pressure go up (both associated with smoking) you have fewer negative effects when hydrated.
