I always think the same thing. Like, what if man created Christianity and other religions as nothing more than something to base our morals off of. Just made up some stories to trick us into living life the way they want us to live.
Some people call me Jesus, but I find that really stupid because nobody knows what he really looked like.

well what if he didn't? i don't think that would really make a whole lot of difference about the way things are now. as long as those four guys wrote those scrolls about someone they called that a couple of thousand years ago, which is all we really know about it anyway. what really does matter is how what is important to us, combines with what is important to everybody else, all the different things to all the different people, to create the incentives that motivate the decision makers to create the policies that resault in the conditions we experience. belief, to varying degrees, depending on the individual, is one of those influences on what is important to us. there are others though. and depending on the individual, as or more profoundly. loving something big, friendly and nontangable, about which no one knows anything, is a positive unifying force. but big, friendly and nontangable, is under no obligation to resemble anything anyone chooses to feel or immagine that they know about it. not even whether it is singular, multiple, or anything else. at any rate there is a philosophy and religeon forum specificly as a place to discuss, well, philosophy and religeon. not that i object to ALL mention of it elsewhere, i don't, entirely, but that IS what it's for. =^^= .../\...
