I know I made a thread about this is the general music, but I kinda figured that it belonged more in here... My friends band, hateathletes, just made their first music video... So they wanted to see what people thought of it The genre is erhm.... well I guess (melodic) metalcore with lots of hints of other genres... Here's the link anyways: http://www.gruset.dk/altmuligt/files/ha_soaa.wmv It's called son of an adolph (crappy but smaller edition: http://s22.photobucket.com/albums/b337/lakshen/?action=view¤t=Sonofanadolph.flv )
not to bad mate you will have to let us know if they have a ep or album out and where i can get it from.
yeah I promise I'll tell They've proformed at a one festival so far, after winning a battle for the gig, but their goal is being booked on "Roskilde Festival"
Ugghh... The player couldn't play the whole song, and I really wanted to listen to the entire thing! The parts I COULD listen to though, F-in' NICE WORK!!! Tell your friends to keep up the good work, man. By the way, how've you been? lol
just download it instead "right click -> save to"... It's worth it And I've been good Sara and me didn't work out, don't ask why too many reasons, was kinda bummed about that, but I'm okay now I'm having fun and rediscovering the fun of flirting with everyone, hahaha
I can't download the whole thing, man... I tried a few times, but all I can get is 13MB of 30-something MB, in terms of the file size. Too bad considering they DO sound good.
here's a crappy sound photobucket video edition: http://s22.photobucket.com/albums/b337/lakshen/?action=view¤t=Sonofanadolph.flv
Thanks man, it worked this time! Yeah, they are quite good. Are Pantera and Meshuggah some of their influences? I can recognize their styles in what your friends do. At any rate, I like it a lot!
actually their influences are hard to tell They've got so many bands their worship, haha... But in a way they just wanted to make their own stuff... They do listen a little to Meshuggah tho... The music they listen to mostly comes off this huge danish site where all the undiscovered danish bands are, it's basicly the danish music underground, because as soon as a band gets too big it gets kicked off, haha...
Well, the "poppy" stuff tends to get discovered quicker, it seems.... But it also has a tendency to have a relatively short life span. Whereas metal's more likely to stay underground due to its rebellious image. Metal bands seem to last longer though, due to their fans being loyal rather than the fad-seeking types. Funny thing is, when a metal band sells out, they disappoint a lot of fans and become another one of those mediocre poppy bands we kind of occasionally hear on the radio. Metallica's been through it, Megadeth has been through it, even lighter and milder bands like Def Leppard has been through it. Whichever direction a band decides to go, it should be where THEY actually WANT to go, not where they THINK the popularity lies(and therefore think they kind of "have to" go). :sunglasse
