i didn't really have much acne but a lot of oil for some reason on my nose. had to constantly wipe my face at work. so embarrassing. i started taking vitamin a internally but this website http://www.thevitamincure.com/ sells but says its really bad to take in high dose. it's oilbased and i put it on and night and it works pretty good for controlling the oil the next day. also expect some purging but my face does look smoother and much less oily after a about year though.
just an idea. you may want to consider trying some apple cider vinegar as an astringent, but if this works well good for you. sending peace & health
There are several things you can do for acne, and as with most homeopathic and herbal treatments, some may work for you....some may not. Here are some things that might help you out : you mention that you have oily skin..... vitamin B6 at 50 mg per day can help wtih premenstrual acne flare ups, and 50-250 mg per day can decrease skin oiliness dramatically. i agree with the apple cider vinegar as well, used as an astringent. it can also help shrink your pores if you have large pores. another spiffy apple cider vinegar acne treatment that i personally use is this: homemade salycic acid toner put 1/2 water to 1/2 viengar in a bottle (i use a small lotion bottle), and drop in a few crushed up tablets of aspirin. shake well. apply this to to a cotton ball and dab on acne....i use it on my entire face. the aspirin is pure salycic acid, which is what you see in all of those marked up acne remedies at the store. use this twice a day on your face. another treatment is tea tree oil applied directly to the blemish after cleaning your face. evening primrose oil (or black current seed oil -- same effect and cheaper) helps clear up acne when you take three 500 mg capsules a day. this is something that is for more severe chronic acne, and it is to be taken long term. homeopathic treatments for chronic acne: include Kali Bromatum (take a 6x dose three times per day until noticed improvement), - good if you have itchy acne and restless sleep Sulphur (6x dose per day until improvement) - good if you sweat more than usual and have rough skin, and Antimonium Tartarticum (6x dose per day)
For deep pore cleansing use calcium bentonight clay(AZTEC SECRET) mix with equal parts of apple cider vinegar-raw is preferable.www.aztec-secret.com
i find that in the summer, swimming in pools with chlorine dries up those pimples in no time. maybe not the healthiest thing, but hey, it works.
