heh know nothing about politics but I'm getting a little antsy about the way things seem to be moving along in the middle east, they all seem to be a bit angry if you know what I mean

It's the end of the world as we know it...
Do you watch The Daily Show or The Colbert Report?

    ya think???
Or did just occur to you now after the conflict has been going for the past 30 years? Conflict in the middle east is nothing even remotely new.

No, it's nothing new of course. However, there does seem to be more conflict then usual not just in the middle east but everywhere (or involving countries from everywhere).

(i got into an argument earlier today about this topic)

Yeah theres a few things I really wanna say about Israel fucking over Lebanon but I won't... don't know all the facts (although it would be obvious to a blind man while the US is stalling and letting Israel bomb the shit out of Lebanon) and I always think its a bad idea for a Westerner to become an armchair critic about events in the middle east.

Most Westerners are completely ignorant of the situation in the Middle East and just blabber on alot, and sadly... most of those people are voters.

The situation is so complicated, that I could easily write my thesis on it.

Exactly! We should just let fundemental muslims bomb the shit out of everything and then there would be no war! Good thinking there!

? that's not exactly what i was saying. if you think about it, its what america's leader has been trying to instill in many minds. and as i have seen in canada, terrorism is not just in the middle east. there have been planned attempts in toronto (which failed because they were caught) and ones that had happened in england and spain and recently india. i think certain people will have enough to make this into a big world war against terrorism when people see that it is all over the world and not just in muslim countries.

It is truly hard to believe that anyone other than the terrorists themselves wants to provoke a world war. No one, not even as power and expansionism hungry as you may see Bush as, wants to provoke a war that will surely trigger nuclear weapons.

America certainly started an unprovoked war in Iraq. America was itching to find some reasons (& make up some reasons) to start wars in Iraq & Afghanistan. What country has been more warlike than America has been? I love America, so I'm willing to stand up to its corrupt leaders. America's actions have made the USA less safe, and have emboldened all sorts of countries & groups (insurgents, Iran, Israel, Hezbollah, etc.) [Bush & team will probably start illegally monitoring me for this reasonable comment.] IMPEACH BUSH !!

Some people are so brainwashed they can't even see who the real terrorists are. They are so dumb and so gullible they actually believe it's some guy on dialysis in a cave in Afghanistan, or a group of useful idiots in masks parading around with guns. Most of the terrorism we have been seeing, whether it is 9/11, London, or the Bali bombings, is more than likely the product of western governments. 9/11 and the London bombings have produced more than enough evidence PROVING they were carried out from within.

Using a couple kidnapped soldiers as the justification to indiscriminately drop bombs on innocent men, women and children is beyond the pale. The Arab world is powerless to Israel, who have been provoking tension in the Middle East since Israel was established. That's the main reason Israel was even created by its elite Rothschild founders. A lot of it had to do with oil, and a lot had to do with the global elitist takeover of that entire region, which we are now seeing.

I am not condoning Arabs who blow themselves up in public areas, but who has the REAL motive and the REAL power here? Certainly not the Arabs.

Israel would have blown the arab world into pieces by now if they were as "evil" as you present them Matt.

The kidnapped soldiers were just a breaking point after years of terrorism.

I hate this war, but enough is enough.

I would have loved to see the state of Israel form somewhere else, and I do not think that all jews should stick together in one piece of land... zionism is a rediculous fundemental idea.

You should go to Israel though, and realize that 99% of the people there, including most heads of government (minus the ortodo jews) are in no shape or form zionists. All the zionists are dying out... all you have left is literary a nation whose population mostly consists of young liberal hippie types. It is not thier fault that thier parents and the UN decided to place the nation of Israel where it is... they are just trying to defend it from a hateful, unjustified, and constant terroristic threat which is directly targeting them.
