bad pelvic pain linked to UTI (x post)

(i posted this in health, but thought it was more of a woman's problem)
I really hate being on vacation, my doc ain't here adn I'm in pain....arg
2 weeks before I left on vacation, I had a doc appointment, and he discovered that I hd a UTI. I told him that I had no sympotoms, so he said that it's not something to really worry about then.
But a few days later, I started to show more symptoms of it, but mainly just frequent bathroom runs suddenly, but that was about it. Not really any burning or anything.
But today, I woke up with horrible period cramps....I had no idea why, my period shouldn't come for another week...I had no blood, but awful cramps......but I took some asprin and went back to bed for a few more hours. That pain went away, but I was left with this AWFUL pain in my lower abdomen and worse pain in my pelvic area.
It feels like a mix between a contraction and really bad gas. I figured that I'd just let it tapper off, but it's only gotten worse. I can hardly change positions on the couch, get up off a chair, lift dd, it's really aggrivating!!!
Anyone got any ideas on what this is? Could it be linked to the bladder infection? I know that your kidneys should ache if it gets worse, but I have none of that....it's all in front.

 

sounds like a bladder infection to me... call your doc long distance and have him call in some antibiotics to a drugstore closeby where you are. While you are there to pick up your medicine, look over where they sell motrin and stuff like that, and get a box of Azo Standard. It will stop the spasms and calm your bladder down. Drink lots and lots and lots of water.

 

Any chance of it being PID?

I think it's unlikely considering kirstyn is in a monogamous relationship with her husband. her chances of getting it are pretty slim.

the pain has subsided now, but i'm still going to see the doc when i get home from vacation

 

MY question to you is why are you posting a health related question on this forum in the first place? This is not a medical forum. If you are in pain...go to the ER where your time will be better spent addressing your problem. Not to sound mean....but as a health professional that is the best advice I could give you.

If this was a female issue, I figured that it would be better adressed here, and it did.
I'm not the first to post a question like this here, either.
I am also on vacation, and cannot go to the ER. My province doesn't cover my medical bills if I leave it, so I have to wait til I get home.

 

Your doctor is a wanker. what was a easily treatable uti now sounds as if its turned into a baldder infection.

Go back and demand some treatment

As for temporary dsolutions. Get some urine nutrralisers like Ural to make it less painful. Drink Cranberry and shitloads of water. Empty your bladder befroe ad after sex or better yet, avoid sex all together
