the danger definitely lies in the smoker's will power, it can only make you "go crazy" and grow some psychological dependence issues when abused. careless smokers are the ones that stand out as stereotype pot smokers, making people in society and all non-pot smoking members of the public think that everyone who smokes weed spends their life in cloud nine, but that's not the case. pot is part of our contstantly changing environment, it's grown with us and shouldn't be cast aside.

no matter what ppl say, the best choice is still not to smoke.
Marijuana isnt that bad for your health as ur rents probably told you, but it wont do you anygood either plus it's quite easy to get hooked.
If i were you I wouldnt smoke. once you know how good mj is you will always want more and more and more...

No, that's just people with absoblutely no will power.

Weed isn't physically addictive, so in the end it just comes down to will power all the time. Like quitting chocolate.

weed isn't physically addictive - however, i've been smoking since the age of 12 and im now turning 19. MJ has been with me through my entire age of maturing mentally and physically. i'd call myself a recreational cannabis user. if you met me, you'd probably call me an addict.
if i were to quit, i don't know what direction i would go in and i'd forget everything too. i reckon weed has changed me physically, coz if i stopped smoking it, my body would without a doubt work in a completely different way.

I thought that way too, but now I know I want to get high at my first opportunity, maybe like acid or shrooms I think. Ignore the government propaganda.

it's made me the "me" that i am. cannabis alters perception and places you in a different reality where you don't have to live up to problems, nothing seems as bad as it normally does and laughing, munching, havin fun are the priorities. for one, my eating habits would change. i wouldn't eat half as much, and probably wouldn't eat the same things coz weed has brought on munchies over the years.
my likes and dislikes, tastes in things, etc would change and i'd feel very chemically unbalanced for a while, i bet i'd feel like i'd "need" it as well. through my life, cannabis has made me stronger (in times i have lived up to things), weaker (in times i have accepted things, opening my heart), dumber (in times i have been so blazed i've laughed at something as straightforward as the news), and smarter (in times cannabis has helped me to block out all exterior thoughts in order to regain solid concentration and think smoothly, providing logical explanations to all kinds of work).
many other things would change, such as my choice in friends, choice in clothes, choice in music.
and if i quit, i'd never "know" what direction i was going in or truely be happy with what i'm doing, coz i'd have lost it - i'd have to start catching up with the past 6 years i've been smokin weed for, and i don't wanna change.

so you think without weed you couldn't be wierd or enjoy things the way you do now.

it sounds like you smoke too much. do what i do smoke your brains out then quit for a few weeks. you'll see that even without out weed your friends still like you,(unless you have shitty friend in which case i suggest finding new friends) movies are still fun to see, and cranking up the tunes in your car still is a blast. then once you see life of the outside of weed aint so bad...feel free to smoke up.

Listen Insomniac. You are just going to have to find all new friends and listen to different music if you want to avoid doing drugs. I know it sounds impossible, but I can tell you from experience that it is virtually impossible to be with people doing drugs around you, and not do some yourself. You have a major decision to make that will indicate the course of your life for years to come. Choose wisely.

ya that is far from the case. my friends brother smokes pot regularly and is going to emory in the fall. another one of his friends is going to the berklee school of music. it all depends on who is using the pot. intelligent people on pot stay intelligent, while stupid people stay stupid.

I believe what brings you to happiness is the key. You live once, so why not live doing the things that make you happy. I've enjoyed every single day of my life since I started a year ago and I have not harmed one person. I've have learned so much more about the things I see. I believe it's brought me to a higher, more independent state of mind. I've learned to rely on myself to be happy, and rely on taking advantage of others. I am only 19, but if I died now I would still be a peace. And that's how people should live their lives. You should all ask yourself, if I died now, would I be a peace? Would I know just before I died and the last few moments of my only life ticked down, would I know that I found happiness. The answer for me would be yes. Once you find happiness the key is not to lose it, and always, always be responsible. If you smoked 24-7 and you worked perfectly fine on it, and lead a healthy productive life than I would see no problem. After all, you're pretty much insuring you'll never get cancer, gliucoma, alzheimers, and many other disease that come from the internal sources (unlike external diseases.)

^thats what we were disussing for ages, we though that you might have to get the thc injected sraight into your viens or just eat massive blocks of hash. or the final idea was to hook a respirator up to a bong somehow so when you passed out it was just pumping smoke into your lungs...not a bad way to go if you ask me. that ones goings down on the list of possible ways to die...

if there was some way to extract THC into pills, with plastic capsules, it would leave you about 20 minutes before the effects started... 20 minutes of eating these pills might just do it.

if there was a way - which i'm sure there is, extracting THC with heat and all that.

    "Choose wisely", I agree.

"it is virtually impossible to be with people doing drugs around you, and not do some yourself.", I disagree.

Whether you choose to not smoke, smoke occasionaly, or become wake'n'baker you can be around people who have different habits. Part of that is choosing your friends wisely. Smokers and non-smokers can be friends if they accept each other and don't divide the world into "those who do" and "those who don't."

Choose your friends wisely and you will have a lot of freedom to try different approaches to the lesser things in life. (like MJ use)

its not 27 pounds. to overdose you gotta some how either eat or smoke 15,000 pounds in 15 minutes. i researched it cause i was curious. so saying that, its impossible. lol i have enough trouble smoking 2 grams by myself in 15 minutes
