I haven't tried this myself, but apparently when you play The Wall and watch Alice In Wonderland at the same time the music synchronizes with the film. More info here ..and here The same kind of this is supposed to happen when you play The Dark Side Of The Moon and The Wizard of Oz. Info here
Huh. That's a new one. I think that you can synchronize anything you're listening to and watching at the same time. Last night, my friends and I were drinking and watching War of the Worlds, while a band called Mad Season was playing in the background. It seemed pretty damn creepy when they started to match up. :H
I watched The Wizard Of Oz once with Dark Side Of The Moon dubbed in.. there were a few synchronizations.. but my opinion is that it's just a coincidence. Moreover, nobody talks about the tons of instances when the music and the movie aren't in sync. And now people are talking about The Wall and Alice In Wonderland. What next? The Division Bell and Beauty And The Beast?
the wall cannot synch with alice in wonderland unless you skip comfterably numb in which case proves it the first point. There's this other movie that goes along with the wall though. It's called the wall. Infact it goes together so well that the music of the wall is used in the movie. Talk about a coincidence.
actually you can match up echoes with the jupiter and the space beyond sequence (the monolith chase) in 2001 a space oddyssey. seriously though........ I rather laugh at all these sychronizations. I have done the dsotm/woo thing...... it worked pretty good, but really , though, you can match anything up. IM sure you could match the thriller album with dawn of the dead, and get some coincidences.
I've seen the Floyd Syncs, actually I have the ones that are made pre-synced on DVD and it saves the trouble of syncing the movie to CD. Whether its coincidence or not its a cool way to watch The Wizard of Oz
in a summer festival here in reno, they played wizard of oz in the park on a big screen. i listened to dark side of the moon on an ipod while watching it. i was disappointed that the coincedences were so few. after all the hype, i figured it would be more synchronized. i've never been a big fan of the oz movie (the second one was better; Return to Oz), so i liked it better listening to pink floyd. of course, pink floyd didn't compose dark side of the moon as a soundtrack to oz (there are still people who believe this), but i guess for the first 10 mins or so of the movie it's entertaining to see the little synchronicities.
