Do you think it's truly divine?

I'm a very new user of Salvia. I've done it twice in the past two days using 20x extract (I needed two hits each time to send me flying), and both experiences were absolutely awe-inspiring.



I've pretty much been agnostic all my life, but this stuff tore the universe apart and put it back together again. I wouldn't even be able to describe my experience. No hallucinations, exactly, but I truly felt like all the layers of reality were being ripped away, finally revealing that there is something behind it all. Some wonderful, beautiful, loving presence assuring me that everything was going to be okay in the end. And that it would be okay in the end for all who live their lives with love, compassion, and generosity; who pursue (knowingly or not) the betterment of themselves, others, and the world through understanding, tolerance, and genuine human connection.



My question is; can an experience almost imposed upon me by an extraordinarily powerful chemical substance contain real truth??



I know that many people, historically and contemporarily, have considered Salvia to be a true spiritual medium. But given the monumental (for me, anyway) nature of my revelations (and there are more that I'm not comfortable sharing here), I can't help but question the genuine, spiritual nature of my experience. Does Salvia merely create a chemical, physical process in my brain that forces me, invariably, to the same conclusion each time? Or is my very questioning unnecessary because, in the end, the physical process of it is the exact same thing as something truly divine???



Has anybody else had these questions?? Please share your thoughts.

I don't think scientist know exactly what salvia does in the brain. All realizations come through the brain anyhow. Human has been question divinity for a long time and it is a hard to tel what exactly godly nature is. I think love and compassion are divine really... if salvia made you realize that living your life with compassion and love will make everything all right then maybe it is.

 

you either have to decide to believe what you feel or not. that's what faith is. faith isn't having something proven to you... it's just believing because you KNOW in your own mind, or heart, or soul, that it's true. sorry to sound so christian, but once you have true and pure faith, absolutely anything is possible.

so is it real? everything is real. if you really believe it.

 

I personally don't think it's anything spirtual, but that's because I have other beliefs.

Seeing is no longer believing. Feeling is no longer believing. Touching, hearing, even experiencing can all be created by stimulants. Knowing is all we have left. Doubt is a guardian in your head, and until faith can overcome him, you will never know anything.

 

Its not called Salvia Divinorum for nothing! ok well maybe divinorum doesnt mean divine, it means diviners, but i think that this plant really can give you contact with whatever you want to call it, god, love, the collective unconcious... amazing plant use it wisely!

Guys read news.... SALVIA activates ( the only substance that can activate..) a certain Gene in ur brain, the only one... and it acts as u feel ... makes somehow it unexplainable and crazy.
And spiritual- its just you wanna believe in it, But i suggest to u to be more realistic, reality and knowing is always more powerful than, guessing and believeing into something that doesnt exists... you block ur mind from exploring other things.

 

Salvia opens the third eye momentarily, seeing yourself as viewed from the stream of collective unconscious. Personally, I find it very reassuring and instructive, but I can see how it might freak others out.

 

i had a bad trip on that shit. =(

We were sitting on some bleachers, and i took my hoot, and apparently (i dont recall this, i was off in a whole nother world) i poured the bong water all over my head and threw the bongh dow th bleachers.

then i remember the bleachers looking like they went on for like 19237812937 feet and i was sitting on a bunch like clutching to it for dear life cause i thought i was gonna fall off. then the pyramid i was one formed into this giant pyramid of like cardboard cutouts of alphabet letters. at first tehy were all staring at me and laughing at me, then after awhile i found like this back door into a pitch black room, and the letters surrouded me and they were all saying the same sentence in all these different voices. i didnt know what they were saying, but as i came down i realized the voices were all repeating whatever words the girl i was with was saying.

then my body felt so terrible, and i tried to lie down to sleep it off or something, and everything i laid dow on felt like it was stabbing into me. i gave away a whole gram of salvia that day (15x purple sticky, name brand shit from high times) and i never wanted to touch it again.


then about a half hour later, i decided to try it again and i enjoyed it a lot more cause i knew what to expect.
