i don't have one either and wish i did. there was a convention i went to that one year the convention shirt was a tie die. the only ones they have left are a really way too big size, but i'm still thinking i ought to get one. i have some shirts i've painted graphix on with fabric paint. i even sold some as wearable art. but i gave up on that because no one wanted to pay art prices for them and what they were willing to pay, the price of mass printed shirts, was less then it cost me for the shirt plus the fabric paint, let alone anything for my time, which, even figgured at minimum wage and only for the time actualy spent on doing so, would have been about twice that. so i wear them and people sometimes comment and say that's really neat, and i show them my initials signature in the lower right hand corner of the graphic, but they never want to pay what it would cost me to make them one. well tie die and batique are a different thing then that maybe, i guess, but maybe not so much in principal. the con shirt is only the price of a mass printed one so i don't know why we didn't get them when they were available in our size (L, not XXL), though we have shirts from the same con from a couple of other years. i also wish i could still get lime green short sleeve shirt shirts with nerd pockets. those are my favorites. i mean in thrift stores or someplace reasonable, not for 20 or 30 bux each in some fancy name store. =^^= .../\...
All my Grateful Dead show bought shirts got destroyed or stolen. They simply cannot be replaced. Really bums me out, a couple of them were gorgeous, & they all brought back memories.
I dont wear tie or jacket much, I have them in case of wedding, funeral. bar mitzvah, etc. but im not jewish.
stereotypes i tell ya.. i don't own a grateful dead.. anything .. i think i have a tie-dyed shirt somewhere.. unless my mom threw it away
I wouldn't mind having a little empire-waist tie-dyed sundress, that might be nice. If I could find a long, plain white, empire-waist, tie-back, spaghetti-strap sundress, I'd be all for tie-dying it myself.
I've got to be that way, I'm the one who makes the decisions around my home. Shhh, don't let my husband know that.
