what's in a name....

i wonder what names do u have for your partner, and what names does he\ she call you?
my bf for instance, almost never (only when he calls me on the phone and asks for me) call me by my first name. he likes all the honeys and sweeties, but not my real name. first i got sour cos of it, but now when i heard how he pronounces it, i thought he's better not do it.
besides ordinary sweet names i have a special one , thats actually my nick here.

my fiance calls me babycakes... we use a lot of the ordinary babes and hunnys and darlings and stuff like that

 

Haha wow, this guy I'm kinda seeing now calls me his ladybug as well. But that's coz I have a thing for ladybugs (they're so prettyful!!) and he thinks it's very endearing. He also calls me cute stuff a lot.

 

hope it's not the same guy travelling from england to chicago for calling his lady a lady bug, right?? )

I called my ex sweetie... that's because I called my best friend's ex cutie and my best friend's sister brother called my best friend's sister honey... so... i don't have mush left to pick... sweetie is waaay to common... I tried to get something new... but I just couldn't.... after we broke up... our friends started calling her fattie... so I call her that sometimes too.... anyways.. I am trying to get back with her... so I should stop doing that...

anyways... I think we should creat a bank of cute names... you know... for me to "borrow"....

 

My boyfriend and I call eachother "baby" or "babe"...but my favorite to call him is "sexypants" or "sexy-no-pants" depending on if he has pants on or not LOL...

 

I always call other people by nicknames -- but generally not the standard ones.

Eric was Tree or Shorty because he was tall, Alex was Al for no apparent reason, Andy was Andyman for the fun of it, Evan was Kiddo because I'd known him since we were kids, Jack was Jackpot because he was generally upbeat and smoked a LOT of pot ...

I've never had a special nickname, except Kitty (an old pet name from my grandfather that I sometimes tell people to use) ... and now that we've broken up my poet calls me baby. Who knew.

 

My never-can-be-boyfriend (we're moving to opposite sides of the US/Canada... but we date until then) calls me all sorts of nicknames. Star child, honey bee, night swimmer... I love it.

I also have a problem with some names. Like, I hate the name Andrew. Hate, hate, hate, HATE it. Not for the name itself but for one psycho exboyfriend who tainted it. So, I have a nickname for all the Andrews in my life. One exboyfriend was Petey because that worked with his last name, a good friend of mine is Deryl because that's his dad's name and one of his teachers used to call him that accidentally all the time, and the rest are either Andy, Drew, or just their last name.

 

My partner and I call each other pants mainly...
His name is Sandy and once I randomly called him Sandy Pants which progressed to pants and then he started calling me pants too.
Not very interesting but people around us fing it very amusing for some reason.

 

I call her either by her name or love.

 

Our friends used to laugh at us because my husband frequently calls me 'Dude'.

Nicknames...hmmmm, I've got like a million for my guy
I usually call him Baby or Buster , he calls me Pumpkin ,Cutie or Scooby Doo...lol , I Know...theres a story to it , but it's a bit long.
Today I called him Supa'Star b/c I think he is one. I call him Big Man , Mr. Yummy , Mr. Smiley , Sex Pot , Gorgeous , Mr.Perfecto , Cutie , Angel Guy.....You name it & it's probably come out of my mouth. I Love That Guy

 

Sometimes my bf calls me Worm, as in Evil worm, Cheekybum we both say.
Actually we dont say nicknames a lot...but we do talk to/about eachother in the third person as if commenting on other people

 

My honey calls me baby, sweetness, or my favorite is babylicious
