i was recently in a ravine in between a cornfield and a development that was being built and found tons of wat looked to be datura. however i have very minimal knowledge of this particular entheogen and was wondering how i can be sure if it is wat it is all the pictures ive seen show white flowers and very large seedpods however the seedpods on this plant are incredibly small about half the size of a pot seed. none the less they have a prickly texture to them and are covered w/ tiny spines and the plant had white trumpet flowers and kind of arrowhead shaped leaves it mostly looked like the correct plant with some minor differences is there any way of being sure. i live in upstate ny by the way. even if i find i have the right species i am afraid to try it and will definately not until i have familiarized myself with it and its effects likely not any less than a year from now by then will the seeds i picked today be useless or is their any way of storing them for long periods of time. also if anyone has any info on best method of ingestion dosage or absolutely any accurate info of this plant please post it. i am interested in experiencing it but only under safe circumstances and want to know absolutely everthing i possibly can before trying it b/c aside from the risk of freaking out not remembering that u took a drug ive also heard of many physical dangers associated with this drug. i would just like to be incredibly informed before i partake so if you have any experiences or factual information i ask that you please share

    thanks everyone

datura seeds are flat, and resemble jalapeƱo seeds.

chewing about 30-40 seeds will likely convince you that it's not particularly a good feeling (drowsy, like taking a bunch of benadryl), relentless dry mouth, staggering around, and the sensation of having a fever. it's a stupor, a fairly unpleasant one at that.

i understand its an unpleasant feeling and thus probably wont even try it how ever i would like to know if this plant even grows in ny and why the one i found looks almost identical but with smaller seeds, perhaps too early in the grow season. mostly out of curiosity

fuck datura man. do you know how hard it is to find the right amount of that? every inch of a leaf differs. so you never know what's going to happen next. but i do know its legal and it grows in my back yard. its a pretty flower and its harsh as hell to smoke.

lol dont listen to the people... if you wanna fuck with it , fuck with it... if not , don't.
But there is a lot of chances what you saw is really datura, but there are lots of different kinds, research them a bit first... theres a picture in my gallery of a datura inoxia leaf, theyre usually quite oval... datura stramonium leaves are more dented, they look like savage lettuce. But they are mostly distinguishable by their flowers, like a funnel-shaped flower.

those are the seedpods and leaves of the datura stramonium, notice the huge difference between the leaves of this one and the leaves of the inoxia.

here is the flower they produce, they are usually quite different then the ones of datura inoxia.

Don't listen to people? That's an asinine statement.

Datura evokes pretty shitty effects in most everyone who decides to take it. With a small amount of research you would know this. Too much can even cause blindness AFAIK. I don't think you need to stick your dick in the fire ant hole in your backyard to know that it would suck.

    haha im sure someone's tried.
without first hand experience ill still say datura sucks, and is more of a poison than entheogen
