Did you ever flew in your dream....and were you experiencing some kind of a happy thing while awake?

Please tell us more about your flying dream...where you flew...how you flew....how you controled your body...how you steered...etc.

I flew a few times. The most times during my childhood years (age 5/10) Between that and age of 28 I never flew again untill I experienced a breakthrough in my awake life. No I wasnt doing drugs. Yes I was experiencing the relaxation of a very difficult task forfillment. I steered with the hood of my hoody-jacket. By puttin it on..and off I flew higher and lower. There even where some other people flyer as well....they not seemed to be inpressed by it. There were even people on bycicles in the sky. I flew into a trap tho.......I couldnt handle the flying anymore and landed in a closed themepark area....I didnt had a ticket so I found myself hiding for the security. I dont remember all the details...but this was pretty much it.

Another time I flew....I ran on the highest level of a cathedral and took a leap though a great big hole in the wall (like the destruction holes of bombs)....I remember my feet leaving the wooden floor planks......an off I went.

i wouldn't call it flying exactly, more like floating, like you can float on the surface of water, except through thin air. usualy with little or no control over elevation. just a matter of not falling and just kind of floating along like that.

i'm rather fond of the ground though, usualy more to see there, and seeing things, places, the lay of the land, shapes and colors and textures of objects, the tactile feel of them, these give gratification in my dreams, just as in real life.

teleporting happens too. which is ok, useful sometimes. but i'd usualy rather see the scenery inbetween.

and sometimes i do get to choose. about as often as not. just almost exactly as often, getten to or not getting to, choose. though often also not really thinking about it. i just find myself on a trail, or on a train, or in or at someplace.

i do a lot of walking and a lot of riding public transportation in my dreams, which are more often then not, 9/10ths of the time, in a more rural rather then urban setting.

I think for me it's always been more of a levitating thing, not actual flying. Although I do recall one time when I levitated and then flew down a staircase. It was actually a nightmare. There was some type of evil being at the bottom of the staircase. *shudders* Anyway.

I've flown a few times. I've never flown unless I've realized I was dreaming. The first time I did fly, I realized I was dreaming and jumped up to fly, and a man in a black suit grabbed my ankle and tried to stop me, but i just kicked him off an flew. Since then I flew many times. Most recently I flew with more detail than ever. I flew through the clouds at great speeds and flew into space and then did a backwards flip back towards earth and flew downward. It was the most exhilarating feeling I've ever experienced. And I was conscious of the fact taht I was dreaming, so I enjoyed every second of it. The feeling in my stomach was just amazing.

i remember around the age of 5, i was flying, the flowers were huge, so i guess i was very small or something.
now, age 34, i experienced again the feel o flying. i was running very, trying to hide from someone from behind, and after a corner of a building, when the chaser couldn't see me, i just took off, just like that, just felt great, no effort, flying just 2 m above ground. but then, someone in front came towards me, quite far away,i felt this nervous feelin that i was doin something illegal (such as flying) and FORCED my self to land and run, and it was so frustrating and i had to make this huge physical effort to STOP flying.... and i i woke up.... but stilll.... i know i can fly... ***

Yes, I fly a lot in my dreams. From my room's window, I take up and I fly above the neighbourhood (but which looks different in dreams).
Sometimes I can hardly take off from the ground, I don't get high enough and there's somebody after me, who catches me (several times it was a dog... most often there were some mean people).

I did experience the falling often when I was a child. But it wasnt in some dreamy surrounding...it was always in my bed...just as I woke up. Like fallin through the bed. I remember there was a feeling of not being able to breath to. It was scary. most of the time I was lying on my stomach.

When I flew it was often like the peter pan thing.

i have had a lot of fling dreams. Most of them i fly just by thought. These exsperiences seemed so real to me as a child that i would try to fly when i was awake.

Maybe it is the gravity of believes that keeps us on the ground.

In dream I know I can fly by mere thought. Often I try to show other people that it is possible (and sometimes they get big eyes, like - what ? this is a dream ?) ... it starts in the heart area ... lifts you up ... gotta keep in mind where you wanna be. Steering is by thoughts. Image you are already there.

Like in most of my dreams, I don't have a body then ... I'm kinda bubble without arms and legs. I know it's a dream. I also know - in flying dreams - that I'm able to fly in waking life as well ( - - still gotta figure out that one !)

    Enjoy your dreams !
    :)
