hey i was talking to a person on another forum about flowering ferts and al that. he told me that at the beginning of the flowering period, u can actually mix the flowering and vegging ferts in equal amounts. then u simply reduce the amount of vegging ferts u add, and go solely with the flowering ferts. he said this way u can still get some growth while the budding process starts, and then when they start to bud fully, u will be giving them just flowering ferts. what do u guys thinkof this idea? any comments are appreciated. thanks
Many growers do that. The first 3 weeks of budding is a time of maximum growth height-wise. The plant needs veg nutes (lots of N) to support this growth. I use veg nutes for the first 2 weeks of veg, the half and half during week 3, then straight flowering nutrients for the rest of flowering, except for the last week or 2 when I switch to plain water only.
