I think thats just the "suggested sell by" date...... I've eaten things that most people would have thrown away weeks before..... and I'm still alive, and have never had food poisoning...... just make sure there aren't any maggots still alive when you go to eat it, make sure they have been cooked thoroughly

Smell it. If it stinks, don't cook it. I cooked steak last night that I didn't plan on having for dinner until today because I was afraid it was going to go bad, lol. I'll nuke it tonight.

as long as its been in the fridge it should be more than fine.

I don't eat anything that has been in my fridge for a week unless it's a condiment.

I'd duck tape it shut and call the local junk yard to come get it. LOL Have you ever dated stuff? When I open something I date it, it's amazing how long it will sit there.

I don't think I've ever dated anything.... except the meat I put in my freezer. That way I don't keep it for 20 years without realizing it.

Dude, you dated the meat in your freezer? That's pretty bad. Even for you. So, how was it?

It depends. Did you get it yesterday and eat it today or was it there for a few days? Now if it's the former than sure but if it's the latter than no way. (You don't keep your frig as cold as a grocers that's why you'll sometimes find ice on chicken.)

Haha, it was in my fridge for a few days and now it's in the oven. It smelled and looked fine. Hope I don't die. ;)
