or anyone who thinks they're qualified; i have too many promblems put into one thread..........i guess i just really want to talk the emptyness of isolation is a most deadly poisen, i couldn't face someone in person
I hear ya bud.... It would be nice to be able to talk to a trained somebody behind a non-obtrusive screen.
Google "online counselling" or "etherapy" but be careful... most places offering this stuff aren't the most ethical of organizations. Definitely check out whether whoever you talk to (if you decide to) is licensed in your state. The APA does not condone this practice as stand alone therapy. IMO, you'd be far better off going in and talking to a licensed psychologist. I was close to getting certified before I shifted directions in what I wanted to do, and I have no problems admitting I'm a poor substitute, let alone someone with no training whatsoever, when compared to a good psychologist who has years of experience under their belt. Especially when it comes to dealing with the things you've outlined in your previous posts. You're way over my head. I will give you this advice: read up on patient confidentiality. I think you're worried about getting turned in? Yes, a psychologist can do this, but they need to have hard evidence that you're a direct threat to yourself or others... which means you would have to tell them you're planning on doing something. I think you could find a way to talk to someone without crossing that line. http://www.guidetopsychology.com/confid.htm
