1. I sleep with a teddy bear named "Albert." Well, my best friend gave him to me as a graduation present. Now that same best friend is in the hospital with fluid in his brain so I bring this bear to bed with him and it helps me to think about how well my friend is doing and how he's getting the best of care right now. 2. I am deathly afraid of.....get this.....throwing up. I know it's weird but I hate the feeling and the smell. The last time I puked I was like, 10. But I do have this deathly fear of vomiting. Am I weird for thinking this? CW
i slept with a teddy an ex gave me. then i wanted to gut him and sink him to the bottom of an aquarium.
No, you're not weird. I have a friend who has the same phobia--he hasn't thrown up since he was 7 and he's constantly taking pepto-bismal tablets when he feels the least bit nauseous. It's a legitamate phobia, I just forgot the name for it. And hey, I still sleep with my teddy bear...don't know what I'm going to do when I go to college, lol.
Wow! That reminds me of when my ex got me a snoopy plush holding a heart shaped box of chocolates for Valentines. He started going out with someone else 2 days later...... My friends (and I later got into it) took it and painted it all over with nail polish and ripped it and I was scarily happy about it.
Dont sweat it I sleep with a teddy bear too. His name is Marley and hes as old as i am i take him everywhere when i sleep over friends houses my bfs house i dont care. they can give me all the shit they want but marleys my greatest friend cuz he knows all my secrets hell we toked out together i puff and blow it in his face we'd get stoned together. shit marley sittin next to me right now. and my lil brother hes two i gave him a teddy when he was born the bears name is "fifilo" and he dont go no where with out him... ahh im proud of the lil booger followin in my footsteps...
I sleep with two teddys. My green Grateful Dead bear I bought at a rummage sale and a bear my 2nd grade teacher gave me at my mom's funeral. Can't sleep without either.
I have the exact same phobia of throwing up as you. It's because when I was little I went on a cruise and got real seasick one night..ever since I've been scared of it. Whenever I started to fel like I was going to throw up, I'd get really white and scared and I'd start shaking too..I'd just freak out.
Thanks for the assurance guys....sooner or later, "Albert" will most likely be handed down to my future kids and as for that throwing up phobia....yeah, I am trying to get over it but now I don't feel so alone anymore.
I only just trained myself out of sleeping with a cuddly Snoopy dog...I thought it was about time. I don't feel so weird anymore reading this thread now though
