How do I imagine God? God looks like the song Planet Caravan by Black Sabbath. At least that's what he looks like today... tomorrow he'll be different. ---------------0-------------------|----------------------------------- ---------------0-------0-----------|---------------0------------------- ---------------0-------0-----------|-----------0---------------0------- ------------4----------4-----------|-------4---------------4-------7--- --------7----------------------7---|---5---------------5--------------- ---0-------------------------------|-----------------------------------
I imagine God kind of like I imagine having six arms, or I imagine flying. I don't have six arms. And I don't fly. It would be neat as hell, but I don't have six arms, and I don't fly.
Some interesting answers. Thanks! I particularly like the energy field and the Black Sabbath song as images of God. Intriguing how many supposed non-believers seem to stalk these pages looking for people whose beliefs they can knock. I did the same, face to face, with Christian friends for years until my closest friend said, "You must believe in God yourself, the way you keep talking about him." Got me thinking, that.
We (meaning one of my friends and I) that our town is of great cosmic importance because I have seen Santa claus and a red-haired Jesus (he supossedly looks exactly like paintings of Jesus, and has profound sayings like when an old guy at the bank was holding people up and apologised "Jesus" said "it is alright. it teaches us patience")...Anywho, our town is of great cosmic importance because for Santa claus and Jesus to appear in the same town at the same time, the cold Meiser and Satan MUST be teaming up... In all serisouness, for me, God is an incoropeal essence that binds 3 co-existant persons and is what gives ALL of humanity love, for God loves us all and all love is God given...
I imagine God the same way he imagines me, I imagine. Only more frequently, and with a bigger smile on his face (but only because he's too polite to laugh).
you know the thing you cannot get life from nonlife. well, how would god be here if we weren't. its more like the opposite of the christian thing if god wasn't here how are we? god is real, but it is not a deity, its everything, our thoughts, hurts, pains, happiness, joy. it is everything. without us there is no god.
