Alright I've decided that I'm in love with dreads. I'm going to think about it more before I even think of acting on my disire to have them, but considering I should know at least how to do them I have a few questions.

During the au natural pierod when I'm not brushing my hair can I still tie my hair back so it's not in my way whilst at work?

I have very long hair that is never very oily, it knots together quite quickly so when it starts to do this is a crazy large amount do I just tear my dreads into the size that I want them?

Any other advice you can offer I will love to hear but wearing a wool hat is out cause it's summer and I live in a very hot canada!

    Yes...
Yes, palm roll and use beads to separate your dreads...
Its not going to happen over a night, weeks. Its going to take mouths to get the dreads you want (unless you want really messy hair). Be patient and it well come dont worry, and hold your head up high...
