First off let me start by saying I started with ten femenised seeds and I now have ten plants seeming to be doing well. Some bigger than others.

I started the seeds way back on april 26th indoors. just over 3 mos ago. (too early?) Then moved them outside on June 5th. They were about 20 inches tall when moved outside.

The plants have started forming buds back probally two weeks ago and are now forming very nicely.

The days are still long, so why are the buds forming already? Is this normal? Are they maturing too early? Or should I be happy???

As for a few notes. I water them every 3-4 days between rain and carried water. Fed them a few times, snail pellets every 14 days, fencing, etc. Like I said, they seem to be doing well??

    rangerdanger? anyone?

    thanks

well the longest day is in june, and outdoors you dont need 12 hours of light to bud, heck, indoors you really dont need it, it just makes them bud quicker, because growth happens most in the dark (daylight the energy is in photosynthesis) seems like your doing fine. i woulda like to plant later, to keep them shorter, but as long as no one sees them, your doin good. chances are someone has spotted them and are 1, waiting till they are almost ripe, or 2, waiting to see them while youre touchng them.
i would talk to someone with more outdoor experience, but plan your harvest well. plan to pick early. go out everyonce in a while to watch from afar to see if anyone comes around. check for cameras, etc. good luck.

Sounds like you've done everything perfect so far.

    You didn't start too early.
Some strains start earlier than others. I have 3 plants that are just starting to form buds.
    Early harvests are good because:
-You don't have to worry about frosts in Oct.
-You get bud to smoke sooner.
    EXCEPT--
some sativa strains start early but take until Nov. to be ready. That's not likely tho.
Keep up the good work and seek out my harvesting/drying/curing post.

    WayfaringStranger:
"because growth happens most in the dark (daylight the energy is in photosynthesis)..."
-Not true. I raise 4" tall rooted clones to bushy 15" plants in 3 weeks under 24/0 light.

"chances are someone has spotted them..."
-why in the world are you saying that?

-There are at least 2 ways to limit vertical growth--topping and LST. Planting late limits yield.
    -Harvest when they're ripe.
