hypothetical question,what would you do if,,

you were in the back country where there is no cell service,,an someone you were with went into a severe allergic reaction from a sting or a bite?

i am deathly allergic,, an now it seems my partner is highly allergic,..

therefore we know all we can do,,the question is,,

well someone who has severe allergies like that, should always carry the Epi-pen with them..... but, were you referring to something else?

 

Yup. An Epi-Pen and a full tank of gas.

 

but what if ya didnt know ya was allergic till it went down,, an what if you were 5 miles to a vehicle???

 

I'd always carry anti-histamines(sp?) on me! Its a bit of a gamble, either staying close to a hospital, or carrying on with life as usuall

You have to remember that peoples allergies vary to some degree.

Some people are deathly allergic... others are not as allergic.

I get alot of shitty stuff but not that bad from one sting. Would have to go grab a pen... or weather it out.

I would try to help him/her.If I can't do anything I'd kill them.It might be hard to explain to cops later on but I would turn myself in.I wouldn't want to suffer and I doubt any of my friends would.

 

Ground up charcol has saved people before in snake bite situations. A toddler in the Thayer MO area a couple years back was bit on the face by a copperhead snake. The kids face swelled immediately and medical services were 45 minutes away. The doctor recomended crushed charcol pushed into the bite area. The charcol absorbed the poison and kept the child from dying. They still needed the antivenom and ect but bought the time needed.


I think you could search it on the web too.

Charcol can be used in case of some injusted poisons, drug overdose prior to reactions and after to slow things down a bit, ect.

It acts as a sponge to absorb toxins.

I know elevate the bite area, wide 4'' band to slown down the blood flow, stay calm, charcoal injested and applied to bite area to reduce effects of toxin and run for the hopsital.

 

That's all well and good for snake bite, but bee/hornet/wasp stings literally pump sting venom into flesh. And scorpion stings travel up a limb like wildfire. The body instantly reacts producing massive amounts of histimine that can cause the esophagus to swell and close, or the lungs to fill with fluid. Depending on your sensitivity you might not even have time to hit yourself up with an epipen.

My friend Kenny was severely allergic to stings. He was an HVAC technician. One day he was removing the cover from a backyard condenser unit and there was a small hornet nest inside. He was stung 3 times. He didn't make it 120 feet to his service truck at the curb and he died of suffocation on the front lawn.

the hospital told her epinepherene wouldnt work for her kinda reaction,,its treatedd with steroids and antihistimines ....
