I'll be moving to Missoula, MT at the end of August to go to school. Anyone from around there? Or have any insight? Anything appreciated...

    Hmm.

I'm not sure about Missoula, but I know Billings.

Flat, rocky and treeless... and no beaches.

God... I totally need a beach.

I'm heading out to Montana on sunday actually.

Missoula Kicks Ass! there's an awesome culture there. There's a local saying in Missoula, the asshole per capita increases with each mile you travel away from Missoula, Montana. Missoula is sweet, the weather isn't so bad and there's mountains and trees, a lot of outdoors people and adventure to be had in and around that part of the state.

I live way out in the glue, Fairview, but we make trips into the cities every now and again. Missoula, Bozeman, Great Falls and Kallispell all kick ass. Good times, beautiful scenery. Kallispell, Bozeman and Great Falls are much colder than Missoula because they are east of the Divide, whereas Missoula is west of the Divide. It's not as extreme west of the Divide. The winters are snowier and milder, the summers aren't as hot and dry as it is out here in the eastern badlands.

Montana is a great place, enjoy. UM has a great underground radio station, or at least they did.

Missoula is a friendly little stoner community, or colledge community whichever. Great transportation, people, nightlife, food and scenery. The colledge there is great, full of quite a diversity of people. Some say Montana is the last great American frontier, I'd belive it. I live fourty five minutes from Missoula, if your a nature person you'll love Montana :) Winters cold here, but boy is summer divine! Any questions, drop me a line I'm sure I'd be able to help answer them

Summer is most definitely the time to see Missoula. I lived there for two years, and the summers were the most fun i've had.
