the bible uses various descriptions "darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth"(Matt 8:12), a "fiery furnace" (Matt 13:42) and a "lake of burning sulfur"(Rev 20:10). The biblical portrayal is very sobering. It is a place of unquenchable, everlasting torment. (Jude 7), (2 Thess 1:9), (Matt 3:12).

"Multitudes who sleep in the dust of the earth will awake: some to everlasting life, others to shame and everlasting contempt." (Dan 12:2)

The bible goes into great detail about hell, cause hell is their bread and butter.

I think Hell will be the eternal realization of each individual's worst nightmare. I don't know. Maybe I'll make some posts after I get there and let you all know what it's like.

I think it's in your mind, I don't think it makes any sense for a rational, just god to send someone forever to burn in hell for finite sins, I think hell is a place that you make up in your mind, you go pay for your bad karma and realize your mistakes, then you either have a choice to be rebirthed or remain in the heavenly realms.

A trillion trillion millenia of utter torment as the price one pays for, at best, maybe 75 years of being very nasty? Can't see it. In grade five, I thought that, and over 30 years later, still do. But, I am often wrong.
Similarly, I too feel that karma is a plausible theory, and that our actions determine our fates.
If there is a hell, I have two thoughts. It is either like Las Vegas taken to the nth degree, the ultimate example of over-the-top hedonistic debauchery, with non-stop sex, gambling, booze, drugs, greed, vanity, crime, and blinding glitz. Or, a hell which I never suspected but which someone described to me, is one of utter desolate, singular, eternal loneliness. Nothingness, where there is no one else but yourself. Of course, I really hope that is not the case.... Cuz I am often told by Christians that I am going to hell for sure.

Heaven and hell cannot exist in the way that they are portrayed to. Anybody with a truly pure and good heart (aka those getting into heaven) would have no desire to leave the ones who need their help behind while they go off to flirt in happiness and contentment forever. Jesus should be in hell, helping the damned get back on their feet.

I have in mind the image of hell describes by J.P. Sartre in his play "Huis-Clos."

There are no 'finite sins'. Sin is sin. God makes no distinction. *But* hate the sin - love the sinner. If you realize your mistakes, you don't need to pay for your 'bad karma' - invite Jesus into your heart, for he has already payed for your sins. Then no-one here need worry at all about what hell might be like.

I think hell would be like some really old dude with sweaty armpits and bad breath sitting next to you and breathing his whiskey soaked breath all over you on an eternal bus-ride through what should have been the sweetest journey of your life, whilst he cracks off really loud smelly farts every 5 minutes, and you are superglued to a seat
also he would keep talking nonesense about how great it was back in the 1960's
Hell is other people according to Sartre

I think hell is an eternity of watching reruns of bad fox reality TV shows. Claim that as punishment and I'll convert to your religion immediately.

Satan: "Welcome to eternity, Sarah, Muwhahaha! Who Wants to Marry My Dad...on repeat...on the big screen TV"

    Me: "NOOOO! Oh God NOOOOO!"

EXACTLY WHAT I BELIEVE. When you die, i believe you will either choose to go towards the light(jesus) or stay away from him and live w/ the other souls who rejected God. But if you pray to him while in this state, he will deliever you. About the rebirth thing, its up to God. If your a murderer your whole life, i believe he will give you another chance on the earth. And so on.

A widely varied climate, one to four seasons, lots of water, air, plants, animals, and toys. Later, mostly toys.

hell is denying yourself the pleasures of living
heaven is enjoying all life has to offer
death is christians escape from hell instead of iving in heaven while theyre alive
christians punnish themselves constantly for the sin of being born
i celebrate myself constantly for the gift of being born

heaven or hell is a choice we make now
its how we choose to experience life
    asa gift or a curse
