First off, I admit I am a new to this. But I just thought of something, would putting earthworms in the soil of the pots be benificial to the plants? I just remember from when I was a kid how helpful the little guys were, and now with my new hobby where wormcastings are a good fertilizer I thought about them again. Any ideas or thoughts?

Worms feed on decaying organic matter, of which there should be none of in your potting soil.

In other words, they'd starve to death.

Much better--use quality potting soil w/worm castings.

Thanks ranger, I knew there must be a good reason I haven't seen anything on them. But I always like to ask the dumb questions :D
