    Hola Hipforumers,
Not sure if this the right place to ask this, as most of the threads ive seen on this topic have had to do with music but...

Ive gotta do a speech on 'How to' and yeah, I got no idea what to do it on, due in tomorrow...Yeah, so if you guys and girls have any ideas on something simple and funny to do, much appreciated.

Also, in my drama class a bunch of us have to write a melodrama script. And we dont know where to start, it has the characters:
    Hero
    Damsel in distress
    Villian
    villians sidekick
    one of your choice

Does anyone know a silly, humorous melodramtic story that could fit in with these characters?

    Your help is much appreciated
    :D:D
    Peace.

    My suggestions:

    For your speech:
Talk about something you know very well. If you like, write an outline first about your topic and subtopics to organize your ideas before making the speech.

    For your drama class:
Do a loose adaption of any Shakespeare play, lose the ancient dialogue and change the setting into modern times or any setting you like. If the original play isn't supposed to be funny then make it funny. You could also get some ideas from fairytales. Look for inspiration from the strangest places, let your imagination run wild. Then try to figure out how to bring your dream to the stage.

What do you mean you don't know where to start. How hard can it be to come up with about 2 million different scenarios with those characters?

And there's a bunch of you, it should be easy!

I'm guessing this is like High School drama or Secondary School (depending on where you're from).

The problem with drama at that stage is that everyone mooches going "where do we start?"

Easy. Just be creative, it doesn't matter if any ideas you have seem stupid or ridiculous, it's melodrama - it's allowed to be. For example - you could come up with who the characters are.

Hero - villian's coperate underling who is starting to suspect foul play
Damsel in distress - the local milkmaid
Villian - coperate bigcheese that wants to steal the damsel to marry her
villians sidekick - his male, hunchback secetary
one of your choice - Damsel's grandfather

Now - how does the plot not just write itself from there?

    I know it's silly - that's the point.

    Good luck.
