I love wearing a flower in my hair..but, with winter coming up it's going to be a problem! Do you think wearing a fake flower in your hair defeats the purpose or is conry or anything?

Yeah, lol, it does kind of defeat the purpose of putting the flowers in your hair (unless of course it is just for beauty) but, they are still as cute as a button. I love flowers in girls hair.

    Real or fake.

As a matter of fact, I love wearing them myself.

Speaking of wearing flowers in your hair, anyone got any advice on the best way to keep them in your hair?

Sometimes I tuck flowers between my ear. Othertimes I will put cute little flowers in the holes on top of my baseball cap. I work outside so I get to put different flowers in my hair everyday.

~love in her eyes, and flowers in her hair...~

I wear fake or real ones, I once had a beautiful green material one in early spring. I tend to pick yellow ones right out of the garden though

Well, the garden's nearing it's summer's end...:) I sat outside yesterday looking at the garden, and admiring how much it evolves from early spring until now..

Our lavender bushes used to be in such beautiful bloom...and we had this rose bush wound round the lamppost, the roses were pink, and would scatter petals all over the grass from the wind...

Gone for now, but back soon enough:)

Besides, every aspect of each season has another new spectacle of natural beauty for us.

Soon it will be Autumn! Wild, isnt it

I'm Going to California to find Robert Plant, too ;)

I can never make flowers stay. My favorites to try it with, however, are the rhodedendrons. Our yard is full of them, there are red, pink, purple, every color and all blooming at different intervals, after the daffodils and tulips, before the cosmos and hydrengeas and lilies. But whenever I do, I always get the annoying comments about how can I love plants if I "murder them for my hair." Just like anytime I'm seen around anything made of wood....

Hmm...Sunfree's thoughts on daffodils she just remembered thinking of a year or so ago:

    The daffodils are speaking
    but we keep them underground
We believe they'd wither in winter
but maybe they'd just turn purple

    They're crying to the rosebuds
who get to stay in bloom
They're begging to seek their destiny
We assure them, it's still far too soon.

    It's not a possibilty...

    It's definate.

    It's connecting yourself with nature.

    It's devine.

I used to make daisy wreaths (sp?) and wear them on my head, but it takes so many flowers to make one and I figured they'd be prettier on the ground. I guess i'm just cheesy.

I don't know, seems like wearing fake flowers in your hair in the winter is a little out of place. You'd be like a bright tropical bird against a stone cold gray background...unless of course you live somewhere that winter doesn't kill away everything green.

ugh, forgive me, i'm tired and rambling.
