I'm taking the Praxis 1 on Aug 7 at noon, which is the first part of my teaching certification. I was wondering if any Education majors took it yet and was it hard? I heard that it was easy and to not even bother to study. Is this wrong? Tell me your experiences with it.

    Peace + Love

I took it about 5 months or so ago, it isn't hard at all. As long as your math skills are around college level algebra you should be fine on the math part. Writing part is fairly simple, I wrote an absolute garbage paper thanks to the awful subject they gave me and still passed. The reading part is simple as well. I really wouldn't bother studying for it, if you don't pass on the first try its like 100 dollars to redo. That's cheap considering how much I pay per semester for college.

I was told that the math was a little difficult - but that was from English majors. I'm glad that I don't have to take it.

i passed the reading section, but failed the math part by one point! I got a 172 and needed a 173. I really can't believe it! I don't know my scores for the grammar and writing sections, but i feel really good about them. So it looks like i'll be paying $100 to retake the math part within this year.
