confusing boys

ive been (good) friends with this guy since i was about 12, and im 17 now. hes the same age as me! (lol for those of you who know about my past 22 year old bf) ive liked him ever since ive known him, but his feelings for me have always been off and on. weve never dated just because it never seems to work out. (we're not single at the same time). i went on vacation this past month and he called me multiple times a day and told me he missed me and he even told me he loved me. i came back home and weve seen eachother almost everyday since. however.. i get mixed signals from him. i like going with the flow of things, but i dont want this time to not work out because it seems we finally have our chance to have a real, un-interuppted relationship.

heres the mixed signals im getting:
-he doesnt call that often now that im home.
-his attention seems to be other places a lot of the time
-we have fun together
-he holds me close when we are together
-he hasnt asked me to be his g/f
-he has this one (girl) friend that he spends a lot of time with; and he used to be very interested in her, and im not sure that hes not still.

maybe im a stupid teenager but yea, thats my boy dilema. what do you guys think?

 

I think holding people close and having fun with each other doesn't necessarily mean any feelings are involved

I would say that things are not looking in your favor..

I think it's a dilemma because you aren't searching hard enough. You have mixed signals but are doing nothing to resolve them.

 

well what am i supposed to do? id have no problem being more forward with things, but i dont want to scare him off cause i might actually like this one.

 

just an update to anyone who mgiht like to know the ending to stories...

the guy asked me out a couple days ago and i said yes. im breaking up with him soon. :/
