    Hi everyone,

I recently got me a dread, only one because I'm not allowed to have my whole head done.
Now here's the problem: The end is getting nice and tight but the root is loose.
The is still a bit of knottyness but the hair below the root is getting really loose, almost like normally brushed hair.

Does anyone have a solution for this?

Just give it some time, it'll all even out. I have two dreads in the back that are SUPER congo and fat, but REALLY SHORT. I figure all of my dreadies will even out as my hair grows, so no biggie.
