I had to babysit my two neices today....

and they are at the point, since its the end of summer, to where they are fighting constantly......... biting, kicking, pulling hair......... the beginning of my babysitting duty was rather scary. they were constantly fighting, but after I took them out to eat (where they behaved, amazingly) the rest of the day went rather smooth........

and Im worn out though......

two kids is enough..... I saw my aunt and uncle and cousin out eating, and they asked if I wanted two more kids to babysit, and I said, no thanx........ they wanted to dump their 2 grandkids on me...... I said, I have my hands full already.

 

Kids are almost always more well behaved in public.

And if they start having fits...you gotta have one bigger...gets them to shut up fast everytime.

 

Put some rum in their kool-aid and put on alice in wonderland. they'll be asleep in no time.

 

the littlest one has a problem with biting, hitting, spitting....... first thing that happened as soon as I got there, she had oven mitts as boxing gloves, she came up to me and punched me right in the crotch. lol. what a way to start out the day. haha.

 

well, according to my sis-in-law, she thought I was crazy for taking them out to eat at the buffet......... they must be really bad for her, but they were well behaved, I was shocked.

I took my neice out one day by myself and boy was I tired, we had big plans but she fell asleep the minute we got into the car.

 

I feel your pain. I had to babysit Ashton today with my 2 children to boot. The shell of the house is still standing, but everything else is destroyed.......including my nerves.

my neices love me to death.

they never want me to leave.

but I cant stay there forever......

 

Im the type to put up with their fighting, biting, spitting, etc.......to a point.....

when those two start fighting, I have to be a referee and solve the problem.

Well, exactly what kind of response did you expect with a thread like this? How is it hijacking anything? If it was a thread that dealt with a specific topic and I made that remark, then I might be hijacking it. But this is the Random Thoughts forum.

they do. it kinda sucks, because my parents live right across the street from the grade school, so when Im visiting them, my neices see my car, and they tell their mom (who also teaches there) that they see my car, and want me to go watch them. so, I can never hide.

and they never want me to leave. they always want me to stay over.......... I have to get away though, because they wear me out...... two is way too much to handle, for me, alone.......... you have to try to appease the both of them, and its hard to do that.

 

Find something for them to play that involves running around a lot.
My aunt and uncle like me to babysit because of that secret for getting 'em to bed by 8.
