Kind of shy about this but anyway... Lately my breasts have been absolutly killing me, I haven't felt like this since middle school. As it stands I'm a 34C-34D..and I'm 5'6 and about 117 pounds. Is it possible at 18 to STILL be growing in this area? My mom was never big..but all other women in my family have been. I just haven't heard of many girls at 18 still growing..
You're still growing. Ever notice the physical differences between highschool boys and growing college boys? Different genders, same concept. Your boobs will stop growing after you have your last child - and even then they may still grow because of weight gain. I actually went through the same thing you are going through. My breasts just sort of blew up at around 18 despite all the exercise and sports I played. They get in the way of my golf swing. You can always have breast reduction if problems arise. Luckily it's nothing to really be ashamed of, If you ever decided to have it done.
I'm pretty sure the "women stop developing by age 18" idea was, if not created by, then at least heavily advocated by plastic surgeons to get more customers, faster. No one I know, female or male, looked the same at 18 as they do at 25. But anyway, back to YOU Silent. Like Aristartle was saying, you could very well still be developing. Or, and I'm sure you've probably already discounted this, but I'll still add--it could just be hormonal pre- (or during, or post-) menstrual tenderness like a lot of women get at some stage in their cycles whether they're fully developed or not.
Yes, tenderness is what I thought of too when reading this post. Depends on where you are feeling it though. I mean is it your breasts or your chest muscles? I work out a lot and I notice after a day of heavy benching that my chest hurts all over and even my boobs hurt. Have you done any new exercise or even done any different movements that would cause you to use muscles that you don't normally use? Just a posibility. Aside from that, I agree with the other gals, that you are most certainly still growing. Your breasts can get bigger with weight gain too. I can range anywhere from a large C cup to a DD cup depending on if I'm training or not.
Mine always feel like this when I am pregnant. Could you be pregnant? One of the first signs is breast tenderness and growth, along with nausea, sleepyness and often hunger.
I was still growing taller until my mid-twenties, and my breasts continued to grow, well, honestly until my last child started eating solid foods just a year ago. But I'm with Maggie, first thing I thought was to ask if there's a possibility that you might be pregnant.
Hey thanks for the advice... I really dont think I could be pregnant..I'm on the pill and my partner always uses condoms..and they haven't broken at all. I haven't felt hungry..or any of the other symptoms. the soreness is going away a lot compared to a couple weeks ago now...
I did work out for the first time in aaaages a little less than a couple weeks ago though...and I went to a theme park a few days ago..I guess that could contribute..my period is supposed to start on tuesday too.
I have an older man friend who says I should find a girl without big boobs cuz they always end up overweight when they get older.
LOL. the big boobs thing is funny. Must be either a troll or a young person. Anyway, I just thought of something, don't ask why: has your boyfriend been sucking or biting your nipples any? That can cause soreness and you might not think of it in the heat of the moment. I notice the day after a "rough" night with boyfriend (he likes to bite) or even a few nights, my nips are still a bit sore. Could that be it? I'm glad it is going away though.
if your period is due soon like you said, it's probably that. I think certain menstrual symptoms can develop at any point in your life [maybe its based on your lifestyle I'm not sure] but I used to never get the big, tender breast symptom before my period until about a year ago... now it's the one way I know I'm getting my period. Otherwise, like you said, exercising can make certain muscles in your breast area sore, so if you did any upper body exercises, that can very well be why they are sore.
I'm 23 and my breasts are still growing. *shrugs* And they hurt a lot too...but it's just the weight of them...
My boobs still sometimes get tender. It's a hormonal thing. Doesn't necessarily mean they're still growing. And HonorSeed... I believe I'm a contradiction of that. I was a C cup by the beginning of 8th grade, a D cup now. At my heaviest I could've been described as Rubinesque. I've never been fat and never will be.
I used to never have sore breasts related to pms...until the last few years. Now, every month a few days before my period, they would hurt like hell...the only time they hurt that badly before it became regular was when I was pregnant. Imagine my fright the first time this new menstrual symptom popped up!!!
Cant answer your question from a medical point of view, but I can assure you one thing: If your breasts will grow further, than your popularity will also, so theres no need for you to worry !
I dunno Chandra Shakti , the comment came from a 73 yr old, maybe he was refering to women over like 50.
If we could keep the conversation from getting insulting or nasty or innappropriate. That would be nice. I've gotten some complaints about the innappropirate comments some have made. The OP proposed a legit question, if one can not answer it without sounding like a 15 year old boy, then maybe keep the comment to oneself. Just an idea.
