I have always heard that the more blue a shoom is the more potent it is, however, I have also heard that the blue bruising is caused by a degrading of the psilocin in the shroom. Does anyone know which one is true?
if they blue when bruised then they are probalby psylocibe, if htey grow blue then no. but the bruising does degrade them. so dont squeeze them all. best way to ID is a spore print, and the spores should be purple, nto brown or black, and no squinting till it could pass for purple!
In Melbourne (Auztralia) We used to come across blue mushrooms which were very potent also a green mushroom that turned blue without bruising. They were the keys to the gates of heaven. I think that there are some non-psilocybin mushrooms that have a bluing reaction so always ID them carefully.
^not always, as WS said taking a spore print and looking for purple-ish brown spores is the best way to ID. Some genera have a black spore, but so do other non hallucinogenic mushrooms, so caution must be taken.
I would just handle my fresh mushrooms carefully they turned blue real quick play with fresh mushrooms throw em around and shit theyll get really really blue maybe you can sell em as super potenza
You can't determine how good a shroom is by its bruising color. Generally shrooms that bruise blue contain psilocybin. If you want to know a shrooms strength, go to www.shroomery.org and find the trip calculator. The less you need to take the stronger it is. If you're buying off a dealer you are almost always getting b+ cubensis. 3grams is enough to trip.
The ones I plan on having are definatly the cyancesus (SP?) or wavy cap shroom. i have read these are more potent but am not sure. The Grobe... is that a picture of devenda banhart by chance in your signature?
SWIM was sold some blue shrooms awhile back. Was told it meant they were more potent. They were some of the weakest mush SWIM has ever had.
My friend had ones like those, he only ate a stem, and he was soooo gone. He spent his trip in an old playroom that had mickey mouse wallpaper. He said they were all dancing and talking to him. It was the first time he ever tried shrooms.
