Check out the carni showing off his intelligence in the UK forum.... http://hipforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=22763
I thought being a Hippie meant excepting ALL people. But because someone does not share your views you resort to name calling Like Carcass eater or Animal killers. Double standard indeed. I see less excepting among people here. Face it not everyone will agree with you. No need to stoop to a 4th grade level That of course is just my opinion.
Ummm... a carnivore is a meat eater. It's in the dictionary. Would I be calling him names if I called you a human?
Most often when it is said it is said with venom. Don't dance around the question. You know what I meant. There is a lot of name calling. It's seems like it's "we love and except everyone as long as they think and act like us." Sorry the world does not work that way. I did have respect for those who were animal rights activist until I saw someone comparing animal slaughter to the Haulocust SICK! D
I agree with December, for the most part. However meat eater/omni or whatever is often just a simple statement of fact, label of sorts. I certainly never use it in an insulting sense. The holocaust comparison is a contriversal one, and not plesant thinking. But having done some reasearch (and actually been to Auschwitz) I can understand the point. It was incidentally devised by a Jewish intellectual. Anyway back on topic.... It's not that stupid really. Almost all vegetarians were like that once. Still canivores, but curious and starting to doubt their diet. Now we can eithier welcome then and provide gentle guidance. Then hopefully they can understand us and make the change if/when they're ready. Or we could sit in ivory towers, yelling down insults and be oh so superior. The natural reaction to this is to say, metaphorically or otherwise, f-k off and not bother to listen. Choice is of course up to you.
I've never met a carnivorous human being in my life, plenty of omnivores though. But I find it easier to just refer to people as people, ecxept when they are either a) an asswad, b) a choad, or c) a fucktard, then I just call them by those names and it works out.
I would think about that one. But I feel most are Vegans or vegetarians because it's fashionable right now.
Children are dying everyday violently by the hands of their parents. No one seems to give a damn about them.
Uhhhhh..... this is a veggie forum, for people to talk about veggie issues. What the fuck do you expect? Another typical bloody meat eater with an axe to grind with veggies. Why is it you guys always come here looking for fights, then accuse us lot of being confrontational?
Hey, I'm making an effort and being honest about not being perfect. I love the taste of meat. I eat far too much of it to be good for me, and although I see meat eating as a a natural thing, I think that the exploitation of animals in the meat industry is a pretty bad thing. I've felt like this for a long time and see myself as a bit of a hypocrite for not following my conscience fully. Apart from that I also know the health benefits as I managed to stay veggie for 6 months once. I am easily influenced and a victim to the fancy marketing that we see (and the cooking smells) I don't think Dok meant any harm in his post (he called me intelligent, haha)and I consider most of the responses as good encouragement.
You know what people? I really didn't want that thread to be an argument. I've been vegetarian before and knew the benefits, I was just after a few suggestions, that's all ... and now it's turned into an argument spanning 2 topics at once.
Black Hooded Crow, wtf are you talking about, it's called child abuse and people seem to make a bigger deal about it than eating meat.
haha ... I'm laughing now 'cos it was you who got crossed wires with my posting the other day. I guess it happens to us all
