I was just woundering if any of you knew what could be used as support for a plant that was grown inside for a couple months, then trimmed off the top causing many branches to grow (i think), and now has been growing outside with over 20 branches,big and small, that are now starting to develop buds. The plant does not receive much wind, therefore it might be weak. would it be possible to finish the grow without support? please let me know if you have any information regarding this topic.
Well plants have been growing fine outdoors for millions of years without any artificial support. About the only suggestion I can offer is what I saw a friend do when he topped a plant so many times the thing was about 12' wide. He put up a clothesline that stretched above the plant, then used twine to provide the buds with support.
First ,I would remove all the smallest ones(branches) down in the plant,that don't get a lot of light,this will help better development of the ones that do. Then leave it alone ,even if it starts to bend with the weight of the buds, this just gives more light to the buds farther down the branch...which is a good thing!
