wow i was just watching that show what not to wear, and the girl on it was white but she was a rastafarian and she had curly black hair and AMAZING dreadlocks that she'd had for 10 years and they were like down to her knees and then when they were giving her a "makeover" they cut all of them off. it was the saddest thing ive ever seen. they looked 100% natural too. has anyone else seen this episode?
i didn't like their reatcion, like she was diseased because of the dreads. and how could they throw out her handmade dresses? mixed feelings about all that
ya i saw the show they always do that to people with dreads there was one outher on a difrent makeover show and off they cut hers to i would like to say people like her kinda add to the shit about dreads being dirty she had said she hadnt washed her hair eather because they were natural i love natural dreads and i no u can still wash your hair just kinda buges me peace
i used to watch that show till we through out the satelite, and i always thought those people were really snobby and mean and stupid. so that dosnt suprise me. blah
i hate the way they steamroller over everyone's personal tastes and choices and impose their crap dress sense and designer junk on women. and all in the name of "improving their self esteem" and "making them feel good" - but what about the thousands of women watching the show who CAN'T afford the thousands of pounds for a shopping spree? are they meant to feel bad until they can afford to drape themselves in luxury items? trinny and tranny GENUINELY equate self-worth with what upmarket rags, beads, baubles and animal skins you can afford to hang off yourself. argh! (i wouldn't get so wound up about it, but so many women genuinely feel inferior to others just because they don't choose / aren't able to spend as much cash on clothing and accessories) and as for the dreadlocks, that is very sad
what was her name so i can watch it schelduled i was looking for it all week my sis saw it but she said 'i forgot what time and her name...' how gay.. well not gay but dumb... she knew i'd wanna watch it :[
thats how i always felt when i was watching that show. alot of those women you could tell that they werent happy with what they had done to them. nasty people. ugh!
So, so true, mama! It makes me sad that people can spend like $900 on a Gucci purse, or whatever, and there are super starving children in the world. And I absolutely love your dreads! They are looking awesome!
900 DOLLERS for a purse... Thats just ridiculous... Personally the best "purses" I seen were the knitted ones...
oooooo i agree...or the patchy ones, yeah i love hand madepurses, they can shove there prada up there snooty lil butts oh snap!! im so corny
I've seen bits and pieces of this show. I watched it once with this guy that had dreads and they did the same thing. I should have know what kind of show it would be with a name like "what not to wear".
yea they're assholes, but if u think about it she agreed to be on the show.. and allowed them to do whatever they can to her :S
Thats scary stuff... Buying (or selling, i dont know how that show works) people to tell you how you should look and how you should act... I dont know, that just seems so weird, kind've reminds me of that moive, the name totally sliped my mind...
