i mean in natural normal doses is fat actually that harmful? i feel sick if i dont get enough fatty food, im a very skinny guy and just because i eat fatty foods doesnt mean i dont eat fiber and vegtables and fruits.

I think that with a mixed diet and low weight fatty foods are good but now the fast food industry is cleaning up... every one wants fat free...

So my questions is this, is fat only bad for fat people or do skinny people get other problems associated with fatty foods?

eating fat won't make a person fat (as long as it's part of a healthy well-balanced diet), any more than eating brains will make a person smarter. Hydrogenated oils and fat substitutes are much worse for your body than the naturally occurring fats found in healthy food. Just don't eat stuff with extra added fat.

like what mamaboogie said, its all about the kinds. eating peanut butter is much better for you than eating some french fries. having olive oil on a salad is much better for you than some processed ranch dressing.

if your a fit guy and you arent sitting on your couch all day, then i imagine that you can eat pretty much anything youd like in moderation.

You need fat in your stomach to absorbe the fat soluable vitamins in your food. Vit. D & E are only two of the fat soluable vitamins.

That being said, the fat does not need to come from an animal source. Avoccado is a good vegetable source of fat.

Some fats are good, ie traditional animal ones and some vegetarian ones but trans fats are really bad for you and should be avoided at all costs.

Trying olive oil, nuts and oily fish. All of these have the 'good' fats in them that your body needs. :)
