Anyone planning yet on going this Halloween? I heard it was a blowout last year, and I'm thinking seriously about it...

I REALLY want to get out there, but I don't think we can afford a show and a gamble (esp. in Vegas - damn expensive!) unless I can confirm an expected lot scene. Anyone know if there's a good lot?

 

i was just on the website..i really really wanna go as well but i'm not down for spending loads of money on a hotel too bad there's no camping..they do have package deals going on i guess ill have to look into it..dunno about a good lot.

 

Well, from what I've heard elsewhere it's a darn good lot and a fun time. I want to go!

 

yeah im seriously close to getting a ticket and just staying at a nearby campsite..lemme know if u go

 

There isn't much of anything for camping close to the city, but if you don't mind a haul, I HIGHLY recommend nearby Lake Mead.

 

that line up is really bad. there are far more lame acts this year. i was hoping it was going to be better.....but mars volta?? the killers??

the only thing that pulls this fest out of the shitter is the Rhythm Devils...

anybody planning on vending at vegoose? does anyone know how much the vending fee is? i looked on the site, but no info yet.

 

Well, I usually can't spring for official vending at a fest this big, but all my friends who went last year said vending in the lot went well. That's what I'm hoping for. (Not looking to get bitched at here - pirate vending is sometimes a neccesity when you can't get together more than $1,500 worth of stock!)

 

I would love to go, but I'm just not down with the no camping thing. I'm really digging the line up. Damien Marley kicked serious ass at Roo. I'd love to see Praxis again, as well.

how the hell did Mars Volta get into our scene???? thats the shit that is killing Bonnaroo and other fests like it......

 

Trey and Phil are officially gonna be there now! Definitely wanna get out there!

 

i am so excited about these constant collaborations between Phil and Trey....when i heard their 99 Phil and Phriends shows with Page, I was blown away....and i always hoped they would do more stuff together...and now these days they are jamming together all the time...awesome duo, can't wait to hear it!!

All of these bands are very good. What DO you like?

 

Vegoose is a blast~~ I made well over a grand there last year at the lot.... Plenty of floorspace in all the casinos~~ Vegas gets overrun by hippies and folks dressed up for halloween...
I've been to Vegas a coupla times... plenty of money to be made. Everyone just wants to get trashed in Vegas especially on halloween. I actually met my soulmate at there last year (of all places)....
Definitely go if you can... I went with no money and made a shitload and had a phatty room to sleep in each night. Only gamblin i did was some slot machines, Saw too many of my friend's losing at cards.
There are places to camp- well I know some people were camping out in the desert some where and you can always crash out in your car (free parking at the casinos)
