i did when learning to swim those many years ago: i was the real-life dummy for "lifeguards-to be" while they did there testing. as they tried to rescue me, i'd punch and kick them away to simulate a real life rescuing on one of the tests we had to take to be sent to the "shark" level - the highest level of swimming class at the pool, we had to jump in the pool fully dressed, and undress while staying underwater without taking a breath. i wore a 3 piece suit and shoes while everyone else wore a t-shirt and pants or shorts
i learned how to swim when i was 3 when my dad tossed me into the deep end of a pool. he said "well thats how my dad taught me". i wish i was joking but hey, it worked.
cool i went swimming last night but i didn't bring a suit, so i had to go in my bra and panties type thing i had so much fun, and now i want to go swimming again
^ i dont own a swimsuit, i always go in a bra & panties. thats pretty much the only reson i have panties because i dont wear them under clothes. either that or i go naked.
hahaha i fear for your kid i took lessons and had so much fun, almost became a lifegaurd but i stopped
i would have gone naked but it would have been weird, there was a chick there that sorta has a thing for me, and i'm not really into that ... but it was fun anyways
I was a lifeguard for 2 summers. My favorite part was playing a victim. When I was helping the instructor teach a course at the community sollege one kid was bitching the entire time he tried to 'rescue' me so I kept dunking him. Homeboy kept threatening me. "If you don't come with me I'm going to..." *Dunk* I ended up swimming back on that rescuce.
I learned to swim quite young too, I had inteneded to be a lifeguard after all of those lessons, but never went through with it. I am craving some ocean time right now
yeah - yeah pull the other one, flashy.Backstroke is the easiest.Soaping your bollocks under a small country bridge near two fisherman and feeling safe is not - but cleanliness is next to godliness......
i never became a lifeguard, dunno why? but i want to take the class. i know all the stuff, basically, i just need to pay the fees haha, its so sad, i'm just holding off because if i do become a lifeguard, then i'll probably work at my school during the year, and i'd make 5.75/hr and really, my skills are worth more than that so i'm waiting to take the class but when my sister took her test, i was her dummy. she's wicked strong, i'm over double her weight and she did a great job "rescuing" me. i doubt the other kids there would have been able to do the same.
Yeah, being a lifeguard doesn't pay well. And I never saved anyone other then reaching out a hand to a few kids that were struggling to get to the other side. It wasn't too bad though. Good to know your sister could beat you up.
just knowing how to swim is good knowledge.Teaching it to others is fucking amazing - it has a real point to it.I try to only do jobs that are worthwhile - it pays nothing much financially - only the chance to live life a while for something useful - worth its weight in gold.If your'e good..
my sister makes good money for a lifeguard. you get more money as you up your certifacations. and um, she can't beat me up, she's strong, but not that strong
I doggie paddled until I was about 6 years old. After that, I got sick of it and asked my mom for swimming lessons. :&
