I've mixed feelings on this one, I remember that I was eager to see it as soon as it hit the theaters.
It's one of those movies that I like for the camera work, yes the quite walking through endless corridors was impressive....FOR THE FIRST TIME....but I doubt that I will ever watch it more than two or three times. Aside from the shooting there isn't much of a plot which of course was the point of the movie but still it doesn't happen anything which gets old real fast...I could have watched it mute - not a bad thing though.

It's also one of those movies that just work well on big screens.
I thought they makers established some kind of authenticy by not giving a lame hollywood explanation as to why those kids went nuts, no shit, there's always some underlying childhood trauma in every hollywood blockbuster but some parts were really unnecessary and flawed, i.e. the kissing scene, the girls puking together in the bathroom. Why going back into cliches about teenager?

My friend and I were drunk and half stoned flipping through the channels when we found that movie, and my god, it was hillarious

i concur. the point was that they were capricious boys and could not be understood by an outsider trying to analyze them, because in real life the kids who feel the need to kill others are misunderstood by all; lost in thought
