I apologize if I am missing a thread already containing this information, but I was wondering if anyone had a good recipe for homemade lotion that would work well for really dry skin. I got sun-burnt a couple weeks ago, and I am trying to find something good to use to help my skin from being so dried out. Thanks for any ideas.

I dont' have a recipe for anythign that you can make..but Burts Bees Carrot lotion is the BEST that I have sound for sunburnt skin. My husband does landscaping and he uses it regularly, and his skin looks good!

When I have a sunburn, I put vinegar on it to take the sting out and then use a lotion that has shea butter, aloe vera, and cocoa butter in it too. It really seems to cool it off and it helps with the healing too. Much less peeling.

I read something today when you have a sunburn to spray Original Listerine on it...I would also use a good lotion after that though. :)

Read up on Aromatherapy and go to www.aromavera.com
Very kool site for this stuff too.
Lavender oil is very good and can be directly applied to the skin too.
